Survey reveals that 75% of executives prefer domestic vs offshore outsourcing

According to the Advans’ IT Outsourcing Survey, 75 percent of executives prefer outsourcing domestically rather than offshore. Additionally, the survey found that 37 percent of executives were interested in additional outsourcing of at least some IT functions in the next 12 months. The top two areas under consideration are QA activities and database administration.

“We were interested in learning more about executives’ opinions regarding outsourcing. Other key findings include: — Many respondents are interested in the use of Managed Services for supporting all IT functional areas. Other future outsourcing opportunities of interest include Operation/Monitoring Activities, Human Resources, Help Desk, and Business Intelligence.
