		<description><![CDATA[In my previous post (http://outsourceportfolio.com/itoutsourcing-starting-hurt-business/) I mentioned that the drive to reduce the TCO of IT will come to a point where the reduction in IT cost are outstripped by the ‘damage’ it causes to the business (e.g. loss of flexibility in business domain due to standardisation). In this post I provide an approach which in my opinion will gain more support over the coming years: selective sourcing contracts with a scope derived from the differentiated demands of the internal business units/processes.
